A Jasper Indiana Grand Jury has made an indictment in connection with the 2015 murder of a 77-year-old Rensselaer woman. The Jasper County Prosecutor’s office convened the Grand Jury earlier this month for the case where Trula Alliss was found dead in her apartment from blunt force injuries. The Grand Jury returned indictments against Alliss’ 68-year-old step-daughter Judy Moore. Moore had been previously charged with the murder, but those charges had been dropped without prejudice. The Jasper County Prosecutors office says more evidence has come to light over the last three years and the Grand Jury decided there was probable cause to charge Moore with murder, manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, battery and obstruction of justice. Moore has been taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County lock-up.
