The COVID-19 positive test rate in Illinois continues to stay below three-percent. On Sunday, the state department of public health announced 646 new coronavirus cases and 15 new deaths. That’s the smallest single-day increase in deaths since March. Nearly 23-thousand-800 tests were also performed between Saturday and Sunday. The Kankakee County Health Department Friday reported 42 new COVID-19 cases in the county. There have been 63-COVID related deaths,971 recoveries and as of Friday there were 14 people in the hospital with COVID-19. Iroquois County reported two new cases Friday bringing that countywide total to 157 confirmed cases of the virus. Iroquois County has reported 128 recoveries, five deaths and there was one person hospitalized Friday due to COVID-19. Ford County reported three new cases Friday, bringing their total now to 30 with one fatality. The Indiana State Department of Health reports Newton County has had 99 positive COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths, Jasper County reports 106 cases and two deaths, White County has had 255 cases with 10 deaths and Benton County reports 46 positive cases of COVID-19.
