Man Found in Snowbank Out on Parole

Man Found in Snowbank Out on Parole

We know more today about a man who was found early last Friday suffering from severe hypothermia and lying in a snowbank near Dwight.  The man had been in a single vehicle accident, but left the scene.  He was discovered later near the now closed Dwight Correctional Center following a search that included more than 10 police and fire departments.  Police have not said why 35 year old Elijah Manuel of Joliet left the crash in the fog with temperatures below freezing, but they do say that he is out on parole for a 2013 home invasion in Will County that got him 17 years in prison.  He was released in February of last year.  His condition has not been released.
