The Friday Night Lights Fest is a festival for all ages. Children and their parents can participate in the KidZone, featuring obstacle courses, children’s activities, and inflatables. Businesses, organizations and fans will have the opportunity to participate in the Tailgate Display Contest. Voting for the best tailgate setup will take place during the event with the tailgate trophy presentation taking place on the Friday Night Lights Fest football field at 8pm. Contact the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce to register for the tailgate contest at 815.351.9068 . Food vendors will be grilling up your favorite game time treats, and BrickStone Brewery will be serving up their award-winning brews inside the BrickStone Beer Tent (you must be 21 years of age or older to enter).
In the center of all the action will be the Friday Night Lights Fest football field. This is the main stage with a local lineup that shines a light on our community’s talented sports groups and organizations. The big game starts at 7 pm on the AMITA Health St. Mary’s Hospital football field with Team Plochman’s Mustard versus Team Little Caesars, featuring local youth teams. During half time attendees can root for their favorite mascot during the Friday Night Lights Fest mascot race. At 8:00pm, enjoy live music from a local band on the AMITA Health St. Mary’s Hospital Stage. To register and participate in the mascot race please contact the Chamber at 815.351.9068.
A special VIP experience features autograph opportunities with three Chicago Bears Alumni players, buffet, and beverages hosted by BrickStone Brewery, the Village of Bourbonnais, the Kankakee County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce.
The cost to attend this event is $2.00 per person for general admission (children 3 and under are free) and $50.00 for the VIP experience. VIP tickets are limited availability. You may purchase tickets in advance by calling the Chamber at 815.351.9068. Tickets will also be available at the gates at the time of the event.
